December is in full swing and so are the countless Holiday parties!
If you're like me, you might be getting a little bored of your go-to party look. You know, the usual LBD with a pair of pumps or your favourite sequin dress with a pair of nude stilettos. Fashion doesn't have to be boring or routine, and neither does your looks for the Holidays.
Fortunately, you don't need to go to the mall and buy a new dress, all you need is to change your footwear game! Change is probably already in your closet and that change begins on your feet with booties.
Here are my 3 reasons to ditch your pumps for booties with your Holiday looks!
1. Because booties are fashionable and functional
The days of chunky boots that were made for function and not fashion are (thankfully) over. Booties have had a facelift and are now chicer than ever before. From the sleek and sexy stiletto sock boot to the edgy and cute zip up boot, booties are now easier to pair with not just casual looks, but with formal looks too. With so many styles and price points to choose from, you can choose a bootie that will *sleigh* at the Holiday party and take your #holidaystyle to the next level.
2. Because booties are more versatile
How often will you pair your black pumps with a pair of jeans? Probably, not very often. I love when fashion can extend in different areas of your life and not just one. Booties will match perfectly with your Holiday look and with your casual looks too. Booties look great with dresses and tights, pencil skirts and even your favorite pair of leather leggings! Plus, booties tend to be more forgiving and comfortable on the feet, which is always a win in my books!
3. Because booties are easy to shop for
Ever had a hard time finding the right pair of pumps? A pair that are flattering on your feet, comfortable enough to wear hours on end and that don't break the bank can be hard to find. On the other hand, finding the right pair of booties tends to be much easier. Why? First off, so many retailers sell a ton of booties this time of year, and secondly, booties tend to fit true to size, making them easier to shop for in-store and online. My fashion blogger tip: Purchase a pair of black booties with a pointed toe. They tend to look more formal. If you're feeling risky, try a pair of booties with hardware or a pair in white.
Are you going to rock pumps or booties this Holiday season?
