Little black dress season is here! Like any woman who appreciates practicality, I love myself a good little black dress, also known as the LBD for short.
I love how effortless this iconic dress is and how you can wear it to any occasion imaginable. Still, the LBD can sometimes become a little boring. Even with accessories and a red lip, the LBD can fall short and be a tad blah.
If you're like me and love to add a little trend to classic outfits or if you're just bored with wearing the LBD the same way, you’ll love these tips.
Here are 3 ways to elevate your little black dress for Fall 2018!
1. Add some edge (and do it the trendy way)
A good leather moto over your LBD is nothing new. It definitely makes a statement and is the perfect balance between style and femininity. But what if I told you to skip on the black leather and throw on some white leather instead? White has made a huge comeback this Fall and it's everywhere! Not only is white leather trendy, but it also gives a clean, pulled together look and can give an old LBD some life again.
2. Up your tights game
Ditch your classic black tights for a pair of tights that tell a story! When I'm looking to make a statement, I always opt for a pair of tights that have a fun print to create an outfit that makes people look twice. For this look, I choose Rachel’s Sheer Foliage Polka Dot Tights. I love how these tights mix foliage print and polka dots for something that’s completely different. If you're looking for a more conservative print, opt for these Arygle Over The Knee Tights or even these Heart Print Tights.
3. Try a new pair of shoes
Say no to a classic black pump or a nude heel. Both shoes are so predictable when worn with a LBD. If you're looking to amp up your LBD, then you definitely need a shoe that speaks volumes! Enter, white booties. Again, white is really in this Fall and so are sock booties. If you're feeling really daring, pair your white moto jacket with some white booties for a trendy look that is major #outfitgoals. You can also opt for a metallic bootie or a chic all-black sock bootie to make a statement.
