Tights Guide

Sometimes our closet and drawers can use a little refresh and a great way to do so is with scented closet sachets. You’ll love the way they make your clothes smell and the best part is you can easily make them with a pair of ripped tights.

With a little DIY project you can reuse your ripped tights and turn them into something useful like closet sachets. All you need to embark on this DIY is a pair of tights and some supplies. What’s more, it will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.

Here's how to recycle your ripped tights and turn them into closet sachets!

Supplies:

  • A pair of tights
  • Scissors
  • Baking soda
  • Fresh herbs
  • Ribbon

Instructions:

Step 1: Place your tights flat on a table and cut the feet of your tights about 3 inches above the heel marker. You’ll essentially be left with what looks like a pair of socks.

Step 2: Fill them each with one to two tablespoons of baking soda, and top with fresh smelling ingredients. I used the petals from dried up flowers and fresh mint from the grocery store for a fresh scent. Meanwhile, baking soda is super absorbent to suck up bad scents and refresh the air.

Step 3: Next, close the sachets by tying a knot and secure it with a length of ribbon. Now, you have scented sachets that are ready to place in your drawers or closet!

And there you have it! Thanks to your old tights you now have a useful household item.
