Preparing an outfit that works for day and whatever event awaits after work can be difficult.
Luckily, there are a few wardrobe hacks that can save you time, energy and stress. Below you’ll find some tricks that will allow you to tweak your outfit so it can work for you all day and all night.
Here’s how to create a day-to-night look!
Switch flats for heels
A night out is supposed to be exciting and fun, so switch your workwear flats for a pair of heels. When wearing tights, it’s better to opt for a closed toe pump as it looks classier. You can also switch your flats for a heeled boot especially if the weather calls for it!
Apply a dark lipstick
I don’t know about you, but I love to wear a darker lipstick in the evening. A dark lip is like the nighttime neutral in your makeup collection and there are so many shades to choose from. I find that a deep red or burgundy really boosts my confidence for an evening out.
Layer your jewelry
Dainty jewelry is great for work and school, but when it comes to a night out on the town you should definitely layer your jewelry. If you’re going to put on a red lip, you might as well bring out all of your jewelry right? Layer a couple of bracelets or three to four necklaces for an extra bold look.
Pack a small purse
When you’re out with friends, or even on a date, you don’t want to be lugging around your big workbag. Pack a small clutch or handbag in the morning so that you can bring it out in the evening.
Wear versatile pieces
If you’d rather not pack a change of clothes, try wearing pieces that you can style multiple ways. A black body-con dress is a great example because it can be worn with a blazer during the day and alone at night.
