Web Merchandiser & Shopify Ecommerce Specialist
We’re looking for a Web Merchandiser & Shopify Ecommerce Specialist to drive conversions and optimize our online store. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in e-commerce merchandising, UX, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll be responsible for curating product assortments, optimizing product pages, improving site navigation, and implementing strategies to enhance user experience and increase sales.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Merchandising & Site Management
- Manage product listings, descriptions, pricing, and collections on Shopify.
- Optimize site navigation, filters, and product discovery to improve conversion rates.
- Execute product launches, promotions, and seasonal merchandising updates.
- Develop and maintain collection pages, ensuring products are well-organized and visually compelling.
- Work with the marketing team to align merchandising with campaign strategies.
- Work with Dev agency to manage development requests, site health and bug tracking
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & UX
- Analyze customer behavior and site performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement A/B tests on product pages, navigation, and merchandising strategies.
- Optimize PDPs (product detail pages) for engagement and conversion.
- Ensure site speed, usability, and mobile-first experience are top-notch.
Shopify & E-Commerce Operations
- Troubleshoot Shopify issues and work with developers to enhance functionality.
- Maintain a seamless checkout experience and reduce friction in the buying process.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Monitor key e-commerce metrics (CVR, AOV, bounce rates, etc.) and report insights.
- Use data to adjust merchandising strategies for better performance.
- Support SEO efforts by optimizing product content and site structure.
Who You Are
- Experienced: 2-5 years in e-commerce merchandising, ideally with Shopify.
- Data-Driven: Comfortable analyzing performance metrics and making optimization decisions.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a sharp eye for presentation, UX, and site organization.
- Shopify-Savvy: You understand Shopify’s backend, including product setup, metafields, and theme customization.
- Problem-Solver: You troubleshoot site issues and work cross-functionally to improve the online store experience.
- Customer-Centric: You think like a shopper and know how to improve the buying journey.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Klaviyo, Okendo, Google Analytics, and heat mapping tools.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce (worked in partnership with an external agency).
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
