While I could never give up any of my tights outfits, I understand that there are many who have a love/hate relationship when it comes to wearing tights.
Some claim tights to be too itchy, too tight and just downright uncomfortable, but the one thing you can’t deny is that they’re still an essential and totally necessary to create seasonally-appropriate outfits.
So, love them or hate them, I’ve found some tights hacks that will allow any girl to give tights another try.
You hate tights because no matter how careful you are they always manage to rip? Opt for tights that are opaque rather than sheer. Opaque tights have a higher denier and will be less prono to snags and tears, so you won’t be in disbelief because of another rip.
You can’t deal with nylon tights because they hardly keep you warm in the winter? Skip nylon tights all together during the colder months and shop for tights in other materials like cotton or merino wool. Tights in merino wool or cotton blends were made for winter and are guaranteed to keep you warm.
Are you convinced that tights are way uncomfortable and always pinch at the waist? You’re probably buying the wrong size! Tights sizes are based on your height and weight and often differ from your typical jean sizes. If you’re use to tights feeling uncomfortable, opt for a bigger size. You’re guaranteed to feel more comfortable once you do!
If you hate tights, will you give them another try?
