Merchandise planning analyst

Full time / Hybride Montréal (Mile End)

In collaboration with the CEO, the candidate will be responsible to support Rachel’s growth with managing the merchandise budget, the inventory levels and the purchasing needs.

Core responsibilities

Budget

  • In collaboration with the CEO, developpement of ‘Open To Buy’ budget
  • Revisit sales forecasts and future merchandise needs weekly
  • Inventory level management, merchandise and packagings
  • Planning of reorder needs for best sellers
  • Merchandise assortment planning for next season new products
  • Generally supports the continuous improvement of the budget process

Analysis

  • Analyze sales and profitability performance, extract strategic recommendations on product mix
  • Presentation of quarterly Post Mortem
  • Elaboration of buying assortment plan for next season
  • Determine optimal quantities per product and size
  • Create and manage orders in PO management system Anvyl
  • Optimize price strategy and price positioning versus competition
  • Planification of promotional pricing and markdowns
  • In collaboration with VP OPS/BI, determine analysis tools optimisations
  • Continuous optimisation of analysis and buying process
  • Constant update of documentation
  • General administrative support

Logistic

  • Creation of marketing names, skus, barcodes in PIM system
  • Identification with ‘tags’ to optimize analysis process
  • Data entry and product creation on website platform
  • Update product information on Rachel’s site

Requirements

Education: University degree

Experience: 2-3 years in similar role

French: Read, spoken, written

English: Read, spoken, written

Other: Advanced Excel
